EatFishDesign is a small start-up company founded by two Leeds graduates in November 2015. Our role is to help technical, medical and engineering SME’s communicate complex ideas to their target audience through engaging visual communication. We offer a variety of design services including websites, exhibition design, branding and many more.
We are looking for a penultimate/ final year student from a design based course to spend a month joining the team for 10 hours a week. You would get the opportunity to undertake a range of roles, but would focus mainly on developing designs and materials for the client.
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic intern to fill a newly created role of graphic design with visual communication. Working within a small team and reporting directly to the head designers, you would primarily be working in the Adobe suite mocking up layouts, sketching concepts and designing marketing material for several different projects.
A lot of the work we do involves redesigning very informative documents, so you should be comfortable with technical information and confident using the Adobe suite to present text heavy scientific information in a visually pleasing way.
This internship is ideal for anybody who is looking to make the most of their housing contract and get some experience working in a small design consultancy working on live projects. You will have the chance to work on live briefs for a multitude of different companies, getting key insights into client relationships and business. By working for a start-up, you will gain essential experience working in a junior design role, developing on your visual communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody who is thinking of running their own business in the future as you will be able to see first-hand the way a small design consultancy runs.
We are always looking to add awesome people to our team, if the internship is very successful we may look to extend it through the summer.
