Ionix Advanced Technologies is a materials engineering company who acquired funding to develop a new ultrasonic transducer. The innovative piezo technology incorporated in all their devices, stems from work completed during one of the founders PHD’s.
Their website was created when they first developed the technology, focusing on the research and potential development. A few years on, they wanted to update their website to:
Our brief was to redesign and build a new website that combined the extensive knowledge and research with a platform on which to sell their devices.
Ionix Advanced Technologies 15 page Website (www.ionix.at)
Bespoke Website Management Guide
The website was designed to look very clean and prestigious, to fit in with the new Ionix and HotSense brand styles (See Ionix re-branding project). Strictly adhering to the new style, the colours were kept to the 5 main colours identified in the brand guidelines. We removed the bright blue from the previous website and used the bright distinctive red only for highlights. Large high quality photographs of the products and team, enhanced the pages – adding visually engaging, relevant content.
Bespoke icons were created so that the transducers’ features could instantly be identified; far more effective than summary bullet points.
One key area we wanted to improve was the ‘Ionix story’. Enhancing the what we do page, we focused on communicating the timeline showing the progression of product through its development. As the reader scrolls through the page, text explains each phase while accompanying line drawings build up a picture.
Ensuring our work is as sustainable as possible, we also provided the Ionix team with a website workshop to allow them to maintain and edit the website themselves.
The client was incredibly pleased with the results. They use the website as a marketing tool to approach potential partners and investors. This has proved successful when exhibiting in Nashville for the American Society for Non-destructive Testing conference where they received much interest.
The icons were used on the Home and Product page and have now become a large part of their brand identity and have been used on various promotional materials.
